STATEMENT:

Planet Earth is the theme.
The media is acrylic, oil crayon and graphite on canvas. These paintings are imaginary landscapes of our universe. The paintings’ grid portrays the ecosystems of Earth. Disturbing one square disrupts the delicate balance of the whole. This subtle coordination of interdependent parts makes feasible our existence. Earth is presently teetering; my work calls out for your attention. Linear figures superimposed on a grid signify the fragility of our existence. I am poised between realism and abstraction through a balance of color, form, dimension and line. I bring my experiences to a creative unity through freedom to speak by virtue of my work. The errors of past civilizations could serve as a reminder for our planet’s existence; however political and religious powers often override scientific reality.
